Default All Motor Exhaust Dillema.. ( help )

Im just about finished with my car. ( 89 CRX Si w/01 GSR ) Ill list my mods
and then i will tell you what im unsure of.

01 GSR Swap w/hydro trans
no emmisions equipment
JDM 4-1 Header
skunk2 intake manifold ( port matched )
Bored TB ( max bore 64 )
type r cams
chipped p28 OBD1
clutch & flywheel
full suspension
z10 oil pan
z10 traction bars
aem intake for 99Si

My question is what would be the better for my exhaust im a little confused.

Either skunk 2 ( pre made exhaust ) or custom 2.5 from kteller w/hks hiper
muffler and a resonator. Im shooting for strictly performance i wasnt going
to make the extra bend and just exit the pass side.

So its either skunk2 2.25 mandrel or custom 2.5 im leaning towards the 2.5 this is just a weekend fun street car. I just want to get the best for the power I will be making.

Thanks in advance ill include a pic for views

do a custom side dump 2.5 with a nice resonator in there thats PERFORATED CORE. louvered cores suck so bad and people still stock and use them at most exhaust shops!

my cherry bomb was perforated core and thus had 0 restriction and very low generation of turburlence. the same cannot be said for a louvered core.

if you want peak power i would do 2.5" . i would personally stick with skunk2, for it has been R&D'd for your car and would be good for midrange as well.it will also fit perfectly with no rattles or rubbing. that's my opinion

Yeah i hear you on fit up.. but im going for all out performance. Eventually this
will have a built motor in it.. So far 2.5 seems the way to go thanks guys.. Keep it coming!!! I chose the HKS HIPER over the Apex N1 for better sound out of the same style of muffler.

I have a greddy which is 60mm on my B16 powered CRX. It is nice to have alittle bit more than 2.25 for top end but less than 2.5 to retain low end torque.

I'd go with the 2.5" because that still leaves you some room to add more mods.

Pretty close to what I have: 2.5" custom piping w/ Apex N1 and 2.5" testpipe on an allmotor LS EH Hatch.

without cats i thought the HKS sounded better.

Im good dude, finally got my car running right, just in time to park it for winter heh.

Hows your car been? I was at the track the at the test and tune when u were running, right towards the end of the season. You were getting a lil quicker every pass.
Didnt know if u wanted me posting your times and traps here, but what did u end up running that night?

Either way to stay on topic, hes got a quick car, and he was pulling some good times running thru the exhaust. (right??)

Did u ever try to run w/o the exhaust?
