Default longblock or shortblock?

i have a 2002 ep3 and the other night my block cracked and now im screwed so what would be my best bet? just to get a whole new engine? or just replace the block? or do you think there are problems with the internals within the motor? oh yeah and is my block a longblock or shortblock?

thanks in advance!

longblock = head and block
shortblock = just the block

What were you doing when it cracked?

Good luck with that. If you want to do internal work and go boost now is a good time.You also have the option for an A2 or A.
