It's not worth it, B20's are put in CRV's for a reason.

actually a b20 is very potent when its built up. just like an LS. alot of people frown down on them because they do not come with, dare I say it? The almighty VTEC!!!

B20s and LS motors are extremely sweet when built up right. Its also funny when you don't have a VTEC motor and kill someone that has a modded one and they are like WTF?!?!??!

i just put an ls with gsr tranny in my coupe. i think its perfect for daily driving. it moves decent if i want it to, and i dont have to rev the **** out of it. its not a bad combination at all. if you plan for turbo in the future, do an ls with gsr tranny

yeah cause they have more torque.

your civic clearly would not benefit from such a thing at all.

get the **** out.

Good Point!

I like killing fucktards w/ my so-called "worthless" non-vtec and then seeing their faces afterward! Dont get me wrong I like Vtec but it doesnt mean you are fast!

I have learned alot from this great teacher. He showed me the way to go.

I was originally going to drop a b16a2 like every other person and just slap a turbo on till I read how well his Non-VTEC all motor LS was doing. So I said **** spending extra money.

I'm building a B20(bored to 2.2) w/ 10:1 compression(still havent decided on turbo or not so tell what I should do o great teacher), LS head w/ Mild P&P, 404s, Race Valvetrain, AN-R Header, Skunk 2 Mani and a hole lot more ****. Hoping for right around 200 to the wheels. Maybe its tooo high of a goal but I might be able to do it.

you sir are a jackass

the b20 is a great motor just like any other honda motor vtec or not well besides some sohc motors but i wont go there anyway

the b20 is a great motor and depending on your future mods it will be a great car now if your going to boost i say stick with the gsr trans but if staying na or juice i would go with a type r tranny or b16

just my .02

B20 and LS's are great Daily Drivers in an EG more than enough to fool around with the Local "NOPI short Shifter and Ebay Special Exhaust" Tuners

Well I can only tell you what I know for sure. I just dropped a b20z in my 95hb. I had the chance to drive it last week. WOW.
You will love the power(or should i say torque) it puts down in stock form.
I am using a 91 cable tranny.I am sure if you go with a gsr tranny you will not regret it. I went with the cable tranny to keep it simple.
The car is getting the body work done now and will be painted soon. I can't wait to drive that car on a daily basis.
I say do the swap if you can. It is worth it.

I will soon also start to carry LSDs and Close Ratio Kits if anyone is wanting them. Starting to get a few in stock.

Will be running a Hydro Tranny(b16 or GSR) w/ close ratio gears(for road racing).

Good luck with your build! The only person in Chicago that I know is Ed Mayapis, who doesnt have a B20 (As far as I know), but I am sure he can find you one pretty quickly and for a fair price.

So you're a qualified authority on it because????????? Do you have one? Have you ever owned one? Have you ever even driven in a car with one (stock or modified)?

Your newbie comment cracks me up as well. Did you automatically start on this board knowing it all. Just because you have a 1000+ posts doesn't mean you know jack. If you're going to make a statement like "b20 ain't worth it", back it up or go find another thread to impart your wisdom on. Thanks for nothing Obi Wan.

Look at my signature......... B20 is definatly worth it. I'm talking from experience, how about you?
