Is it ok to disconnect the ecu without unplugging the battery?
I've always disconnected the battery before swapping ecu's, but I've been told that as long as the keys arn't in the ignition then it's fine to do it with the battery connected. True?
I forgot more about hondas then you will ever know....

no need to pull the battery to swap ecu's.

Well, lets think about it.
If you disconnect the battery, swap ECU's, then plug the battery back in, the ecu goes from 0 to full power in the instant you touch the battery terminal the wires.
If you just swap ecu's, the ecu goes from 0 to full power the instant you plug the harness in.
I think you might just be wasting 2 minutes by disconnecting the battery.
