Toda has a set of Cam shafts called V-Tec Killers. I was told (by them) that (when timed right) it acts as though the V-Tec is always running. I don't like that idea. I wanted to sell the Type-R cams and get one or the other. I just don't know which one runs better.

is this for the street, b/c the vtec killers are in NO way street cams, and comparing the bc3's to the toda vtec killers is comparing apples and oranges or tomatoes and kiwi's or something that has no relation

if you really want toda's get the a's or b's for a street cam, and the bc3's and 4's are also great cams and offer a broad powerband.
whats your setup?

honestly, if you plan on keeping that setup or something similar, i would choose a stage 1 or a "mild" stage 2 cam for that c5, bc3, toda A. skunk 1 or even 2, or rocket motorsports m22 would probably all be good options

I guess it just depends on what you would consider streetable, i admit i like my street car a little milder than most, but the vtec killers just are way too finnicky for me, they idle and sound like a V8 (sounds crazy
just not for the street
), and i'd prefer something i could drive both during rush hour traffic and let loose on some back roads friday after work, and i dont need a cam that peaks around 10-11,000. I've only experianced these cams on one motor ( one of my buddies) but that was enough for me. BTW the todas ripped! So i dont have a lot of experiance, so if there is anything you'd like to add i'd be more than willing to listen if you've have better results with them on the street, thats just my.02

The biggest problem I had with the Killers initially was no one had a map for it. So originally it idled like crap making it not so daily driveable. It was very temperamental and ran when it wanted to run and cut off when it wanted to cut off. It was annoying. Then I got a mild street tune for it. Solved alot of problems, but still didn't want to idle properly. So I finally had enough, dropped the car off at P1 Auto along with an AEM EMS and ordered the Toda ITBs and when I picked it up, it was idling at a solid 750rpms. No fluctuations whatsoever. Just wish I had enough time and money to actually finish the damn project.

Why's that, wouldn't aftermarket work better down the line?

honestly i would go for the BC4's
for the price i bet it would out perform toda spec B's all over the power band......do a search and you will find some dyno results........

boost or NA...pick one, then we can help you better.none of the aftermaket cams mentioned will be boost friendly, but your stock cams are.dfo some research before doing ANYTHING.

thats because 75% of the charts that are posted with Toda Bs are with stock compression.
it really wont be that helpful, to be honest.
If your gonna stay with stock compression, go with a cam that doesnt need 12.0+ compression to get the full potential out of them.

Because long duration and overlap is no good on a boosted engine. If you feel the need to buy cams for a turbo engine Crower makes a set of turbo specific cams, but i really do not see the point as your ITR cams will be more than good enough.

not sure your setup ... perhaps you can list your motor setup and mods ?
the killers are not that bad, they are light cores, come in different combinations and make power at low rpms depending on the head used and intake injection type.
