Default 1993 Civic DX Won't Star!!

A couple weeks ago I went out to start the civic and it wouldn't start. It would crank but not start. Well, after letting it sit miraculously it started up, this problem came and went for about a week, but now it won't start at all. After screwing around with it for awhile, I noticed the fuel pump wasn't turning on when I put the key to the on position. I saw that the main cause of this is the main relay, so I replaced it and it and the fuel pump still doesn't kick on. Thinking maybe it was the fuel pump I hooked it up directly to 12 volts of power and it worked fine. So if it's not the main relay, what could be wrong? Why won't the fuel pump turn on? Could it be the ignition? PLEASE HELP!!

I think the fuel pump works off it's own relay, not just the main relay. Not totally sure, I've had pump relays go bad on other cars but not my Civic.

Considering it's a 93, your pump could in fact, be dead.

I've powered the fuel pump by jumping the #1 terminal in the main relay (power from battery) to the #7 terminal of the main relay (power to fuel pump) and fuel pump will turn on. Thus the pump can't be bad. I've rechecked the main relay using the following test from this site ... http://autorepair.about.com/cs...c.htm
The relay checks out good, which it should since it's new. I don't know what to do next...?
