Question: When i start the car i hear sort of Whistling (from under the hood) for a first few seconds (The longest was ~ 5-6sec, it was pretty cold outside) then it disappears and doesn't come back during driving. What is it?

95 lx, manual, 87kmiles

timing belt changed

i get that also but its because of my intake, and i have a 94 lx 92000 miles

 

i dont have an aftermarket intake.

Is it starter? or some belt?

 

Well, pretty hard to tell when i can't hear it, but it most probably is a belt.

My '92 LX (stock) does that too. More so when the weather is cold and it can do this even when idling. I believe its been doing that having the belts changed. Could it be a tensioner? I thought I heard it coming from either the p.s. or alternator.
