Default Building Up a D16y8 (not a dumb thread)

Ok so i have d16y8 with no intake mani and suppose the kid broke the crank shaft, now do you think it is worth it to fix the crank shaft and build it for nitrious or turbo?
i know there was a huge thread on building d series i search and i couldnt find it i just deleted out of my favorites.

whats a good compression to run?

if the crank is broken i would look for a new engine to build.

people sell y8 and z6 blocks for cheap.

try and find one that was working. because a broken crank means lots of internal damage.
