All I can tell you is you need to stroke that b16b to 1.8L :-)

you are probably in the 170-175 range...thats my best guess. a stock b16b will put out about 150-160, plus cams and a little compression and tuning, and you are PROBABLY looking at around 175.

im just giving you a guesstimate...someone let me know if im wrong.

put more cam in it like s3s, or Rocket's new M22s with the stock-ish primaries, clean up the head a bit, put a ITR or AEBS manifold on there. I bet you can see 185 or so then, but still the header, throttle body, injectors will be a restriction... a few details after that and 200 wouldnt be far away.

Did you know that a factory Type R head is already ported? Did you know that most head-work facilities do not recommend touching a Type R head(i.e. Portflow, Alaniz, Endyne, etc....)

I have a B16b in my car and am currently doing my homework. I have a Spoon exhaust/b-pipe with a J's racing test pipe, Spoon flywheel, Spec clutch and a Spoon headgasket in my car, and as far as I'm aware it gives me an even 11:1, a Mugen MAYBE gives you 11:1. You're gonna need more compression to run those Skunk 2 2's properley, Mugen twin loop is resrictive...may I suggest the Spoon N-1....sounds DELICIOUS! There is a H/T member on here who dyno'd his STOCK block jdm b16a with Jun 3's, keep in mind that the head was never milled, laid down 185 to the wheels. His name is "ghettoracer" and has a very strong motor. I'm a firm believer in Jun 3's, with those cams I think you could easily achieve your goal with maybe bigger injectors. Good luck man, keep us posted!!

why would you not want to port a type R head? a good head porter can run circles around honda's factory port job.

i think this post needs to be deleted cause we are not here to bench dyno. further more these types of questions are clearly stated in the TOS to not be asked. do a search.

A lot of people assume that porting the crap out of the head is where you get power. This is not true. Some of the best power gains are created by improving the shape of the bowl around the valve, not increasing the size of the port.

Just go to the dyno and find out. To just find out what you are putting down is cheap.

Thanks for all the info, I m going to talk to that guy, off the top of your head do you know if he upgraded his valvetrain with the jun3, even though the s2s2 might be more agressive, my compression might work better with the juns, like you said, anyway get bak to me

where was all of this tunning done???? the tuning i know best is on a dyno with a wide band.... so if you've had "lots of tunning" you should have seen a dyno once or twice and then you should know your horse power.

OEM ITR is a great head, but one of the head porters you quote performed the headwork on the OEM ITR head that went on the 11.3:1 200whp std bore B16 that was dynoed back in 10/2003. My only point is that the head can be improved upon and Tom @ Portflow did an excellent job Why use more compression than you need to make power? This peticular motor for example had an OEM head gasket, gen 1 B16 block with usdm spec pr3 pistons, .030" mill on the head, flat standard sized valves. The estimate was 11.3:1 cr, the setup was very rough and needed more tuning however, reaching 200whp from 1595cc in 5 days doesnt mean there werent any obstacles. A ported ITR head was one of the peices of this peticular puzzle. I hope all goes well with your build

im sayin if i have alot of tuning with hondata, because some people assume oh he has hondata he must be runnin, it all depends on the tuning
