Default Thermostat problem

The temp would go up if I'm stuck in traffic and it would lower if I drive on the highway. So I bought a new thermostat. I just finished installing it about 30 minutes ago. I plugged everything back in and double checked that there weren't any unplugged wires. So I decided to drive around for about ten minutes. The temp gauge is still at cold. Now, the fan doesnt come on and it's been like that with the old thermostat. But before I replaced the old thermostat, the temp gauge would rise and fall like it was normal. So I am not sure what's going on. Please help.

hmm... make sure ur fan is plugged in... hook 12v to 1 lead to fan and ground other lead to test to make sure it's working. if so. check fuses... or run a contanuity test from one end of the circuit to the other. fusebox to fan ect...

thermoswitch?

Where would the thermoswitch be located for a JDM D15B?

I think it's clogged somewhere. I'm going to try and drain the radiator to see if that'll fix my problem.
