white smoke
i know this description is going to suck ***, and i'm going to probably get flamed but i just wanna know some possible causes for my car smoking like hell, white smoke, and i know its oil, problem is i'm not sure exactly what it could be..
if it's sweet smelling it's probably coolant. If your exhaust is stainless it's normal for it to "smoke" when you first start the car up because stainless tends to collect a lot of moisture, but it should go away once the car warms up.
what are you using up that you have to refill ....... oil or coolant ? If you have to replace a lot of oil but arn't leaking any out on the ground, it is oil. It is either blowing past the rings, or around the valves, or past the head gasket. Pull the plugs look at the condition of them, check the compression in each cylinder and then give us a report.

white smoke = coolant.
yeah, blown head gasket is likely.

how do you people just immediatley jump to headgasket? there is this thing people use when fixing cars called troubleshooting. not just throwing parts at a problem.
first, yes white is coolant. second its time to find out where its comming from. do a leakdown test to eliminate anything serious then move from there.

But is the oil going into the coolant? Is there any sign of it in the overflow? I've never seen a car that smokes a ton of white be anythine else than a blown headgasket. If you were burning oil it would be bluish smoke.
