Trans. Noise in neutral
Newly installed clutch assy in my 95 GSR which previouly what sounded like a throwout bearing as when you pushed pedal down and noise went away.
Now with new clutch assy. and bearing the noise is still present, any ideas on what this could be as in possible bearings in trans. or anything else
Thanks

Then I guess it could be mainshaft bearing(s) in the tranny. If you press the clutch pedal down quickly, does the noise take a second or 2 before it 'coasts' to a stop?
Its your throw-out bearing. You can get them from any parts stores. Or when you buy a clutchmasters clutch they give you one with it. Youd probably want to replace your clutch since the trans is already going to be out.
I have already replaced the throwout bearing when i did the clutch recently
The noise is present when i am coasting to a stop in neutral with pedal depressed below 20mph is when i can clearly hear it so i guess i will replace the mainshaft bearings when i take trans. out again
