Default catch can info-

i've searched, talked to a few peeps, gotten some links, however- i'm still at a loss as to exactly what i need to run a properly routed catch can, while maintaining my stock seperator tank.

i want to run in effect a double seperator, and keep any vapors from getting into the intake tube via the valve cover OR into the intake mani via the pcv tube

thx

how does this sound-

Keep stock sep. tank, run the line with the pcv up to a z10 catch can, with the pcv inline

*Run the valve cover line to the other inlet on the z10 can

Attach breather atop can

Run outlet on can to the intake manifold where the old pcv line ran---

And drain can as needed.

Does this sound like itll work? I am thinking, in effect, ill have a double separator setup going on….

*i am a bit confused about the valve cover connection to the intake tube; is that ok to connect to the catch can as well, as described above? it seems that the intake tube connection to the valve cover is a source of fresh air for the crankcase...does oil ever come through there at any point on high horsepower NA setup? it seems to be the case with many setups, so i assume the connection to the catch can would take care of that possibility.

ok, i talked to Jimbo @ z10, and he said i can keep stock sep. tank, run line with PCV up to inlet of can, run valve cover to inlet, put breather atop that ****, and call it a day...HOWEVER, he said the stock seperator outlet size, where the pcv is, is not of a big enough diameter, he said atleast 5/8...which means i need to make the hole a lil bigger, and weld a 5/8 nip on there.

anyone have any input!
