Default Swap????

Ok, I'm sure this question has been asked quite a few times but, what is the best engine swap for a 96 civic ex; b16a, b16b, b18c, or any others you can think of. I plan on a 20-25 psi turbo charger, so I can't quite figure out the best way to go. Thanks.

You have to be kidding me.

Im not one for N00B bashing or anything, but there is a thread at the very top of this page that says "[FAQ] What swaps are available for my Civic?"

Read it!

20-25 pounds? It doesn't matter what engine you get, just build it right for that much boost. My buddy is going to build a d15 with plans to go 20 or bust. Oh yeah, search is good too.

on 25lbs of boost, I don't think so. Unless you fancy ultra expensive raxles as even EK k20 swaps are having issues with light mods

I would say no swap. 25lbs of boost on an EX motor has run drag cars into the low 10's and you don't have that kind of tire to hold it availiable on a street car anyway

thanks, any other suggestions? Ive been told and read many different things about these engines, just not sure what to believe, Iv'e heard the b16b is already high compression and shouldn't be turbo charged, just trying to find out the best and strongest engine to turbo charge. thanks

the k20a has high compression so it isn't an ideal turbo motor. i would say go with a d16z6 and build it top and bottom then turbo it, but still 20-25psi you better have a damn good tuner

and do some research before you get into boosting.
