Alignment Question?
I was wondering if someone could give me some specs. on my 1995 Honda Civic cx. I am looking for the proper toe adjustments for the front wheels as well as the best way of centering my steering wheel because right now it sits around eleven o'clock. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
0 toe on front.
A proper alignment will align the steering wheel. When you take it there, lock the steering wheel perfectly centered by wedging a spray can between it and the seat. If it's crooked, its cause some fool adjusted the toe without locking the wheel, and they have to fix it for free. Unless it's off because you took the steering wheel off and didn't mark it. In that case, jack up the front wheels, mark the steering wheel somewhere, then lock it all the way to one side. Count the rotations to the other side. Now rotate it back exactly half the rotations. Now mark the column vs the center of the steering wheel, pull off the wheel and set it right. Before you put it back together, double check it. Then put it back together just enough to be safe, and take it for a drive and triple check it.
