Ever since I bought the car, I have this annoying little squeeking everytime I depress the clutch. It doesn't affect my driving or the vehicle at all, it's just very annoying. I finally made a post today because I am now a member of one of hte best Honda Tech forums on the net! What could it be? Is it an easy fix?Your inputs would be greatly appreciated.

mine does it too..... i've gone through three motors and four transmissions, so if you asked me i'd say the issue is located in the master cylinder or behind the pedal, etc... somewhere before the clutch pressure line going to the tranny..... good luck with fixing it. or just turn your stereo up a little more.

 

Mine does it as well, I guess it just comes with the car. I notice it does it more so if the vehicles wet, or just been washed.

mine does it all the time i also have a 99 si . evertime mine does it i remove the slave cylinder cover its a rubber cover and spray some wd40 in there to fix it temp howver the right way to do is to grease the fork that the slave hooks up to but until i remove the tranny the wd-40 works great

 

I just pull the boot back and spray in by the slave cylinder and it stops for a couple weeks and then comes back. No getting rid of it I guess.

 

Just turn your radio up, thats what i do

 

I get the squeek too. I used to think it was fingers on the clutch plate because it started well after I replaced my first clutch.

So some of you guys are just randomly spraying WD-40 into the clutch housing??

 

mine does it too, i have always thought is is some rusty spring in the clutch, but who knows.

Ive never been in a honda that doesnt do it when the car is cold, mine goes away after a few mins

 

Well it does it on my cable tranny too except I hear the squeaking sound when I try to engage the clutch AFTER DEPRESSING. I'm thinking its a misaligned input shaft that's hitting my pilot bushing because it only occurs when I depress the clutch pedal. If you hear it right when you press the clutch it might be a shift fork or squeaking or the throw out bearing. Could also me the fingers on the pressure plate.

Disconnect the slave cylinder and throw some wheel bearing grease in there. Mine doesn't squeek at all. Oh BTW make sure that rubber boot is secure. If that doesn't cure it check to see if it is coming from the pedal assembly. Good luck. I know how little noises can really **** you off. It's like WTF was that. Sometimes I even turn the heater off and turn down the stereo when I hear a little rock ping off the undercarriage.

sweet... i used to get this noise too... untill now thanks to you sir^^^... always love making the eg more efficient sounding....

 

mine does it to but what hondafanatic said would work i just never got around to it so i turn the radio up. works everytime

i say spray wd-40 randomly until it stops. they don't call it the universal lubricant for nothing but mine only squeeks when it's cold or after it rains.

But that damn wheel bearing grease takes no prisioners as far as metal on metal squeeking goes.
