You'll need to have a one or two grooves machined into the piston for the retaining clips.

It's easier to just use a forged piston already machined to use the wire locks. They would be easier to install and they're lighter, stronger, blah blah blah, etc.

I don't know if it's possible, but depending on the rod and wrist pin diameter, maybe the small-end of the rod can be rebushed to allow for an interference fit instead of full-floating.

Do as IN VTEC said and have the bushing machined out to run a factory wrist pin or run forged pistons. Buying some aftermarket pistons is a lot easier and if the ITRs are still new you can probably find someone to buy them. Just my $0.02

the pins that fall trough the rods and pistons now are the factory ones.i really dont want to use aftermarket pistons because i want the engine to last as long as possible so i wanted to use factory pistons. i have looked at the pistons and i think it could be done to just need the right machine to do it
thanks

Oh okay got ya, you're right then that's not going to work. Well I guess you have two options. Have you had bad experience with forged pistons? Just curious because of the majority of street motors that we build today I'd 90% of them are running forged pistons and they seem to hold up just fine, even under boost, etc.
