Just wondering what all you d series guys are running cam wise and how you like them

i heard that the ZEX cam is quite nice.....i forget the part number off hand...

 

gude also makes a nice sohc cam

i got this thing..... i dont really like doing work for other people, but i will take a quick glance around.

 

Stock. It's a D15B7 for God's sake.

Let me take care of my low MPG first before making it even lower with a Mild/Street camshaft.

 

i have a zex 59300 and it works great on the butt dyno lol, valvetrain is hella loud though people ask if i have a diesel engine

 

say i go with that zex cam do i have to upgrade my valvetrain?

 

if u use the 59300 cam u dont have to, but u cant shouldn't rev past 7200rpm and your valve train will be loud, ask soccerking 3000

 

my rev limiter doesnt let me rev past 6800 so thats set, but ill be ok without upgrades to valvetrain?

 

ya i have a stock valvetrain i dont have any problems with it, but makes ure you get a cam gear to get the full potential out of it you will be amazed how a little bit of cam retarding/advancing can do

 

i heard crower makes some damn good valve train parts, but stock for me...d15b7

crower does make very good valve springs and retainers, but if i were anyone i wouldnt buy titanium retainers, they dont have the lifespan of stock springs will eventually need to be replaced, get some magnesium ones
