I have a '99 Civic Si and was wondering how common it is to see Del Sol seats with etching on the headrest? I still can't decide whether or not to get the seats just based on this! lol The price is good, btw.

i know that my 93 del sol Si doesnt have them. i don't remember seeing them on any models hmmm

 

those look like JDM Del Sol SiR seats. maybe the embroidering was a dealer option?

That'd be a deciding factor for me too. The embroidered words look kind of silly.

my JDM 93 del sol don't have it....maybe some riceboy option, also JDM del sol would be a CRX Del SOl, but who knows...

some did some didnt....i had a sol with leather interior, then i had an EJ civic and swapped in jdm del sol seats. they also didnt have the stitching in em.

 

 

These seats rock in an Si--big improvement over the stockers.

Since they appear to be in nice shape, go for 'em if the price is right. I'd rather have my seats say 'del sol' on them instead of 'tenzo'

 

to any of you soler's that posted, did any of you have the "vtec" model, my friends 96 vtec had the etching, maybe the b16 equipped sol in the newer ones had it..

 

i wouldnt get the del sol words stitched in the headrest of delsol seats if i was putting them in my civic,..you have a civic not a delsol,...just my .02

yeah get them anyhow, if the price is right, you cant go wrong. they are SO much better than oem civic seats.

 

The etching was done on very few American shipped Del Sols, primaily it was done on the CRX (Del Sol) in Japan. Yes it is Japanese, and if I were you, I'd buy them before I DO!!!!

they look like they would hold you in better than the stock si seats. as for the stitching,... i would just take it off. just cut up the threads with a razor or something

do you know how hard it is to get those seats/??? very hard.. jump on them quick and take advantage of it.. if you dont like the stiching you can always get them revinyled later... but the seats are awesome seats.. I have a 93 del sol and I love the seats!
