Default Semi-n00bish question...

I have an international customer thats swears up and down that his manifold is not fitting.
Hes using an H22 Mini-me with a Precision S series turbo(c61 i think). He says the turbo is hitting the block so badly that he cannot get any of the bolts in. He sent me some semi-shitty pictures, they arent really worth posting up because it doesnt show the degree of "not fitting" well enough(it looks like if you clocked the turbo, itd fit(which he tried)).
Apparently the Precision 5 bolt turbine housings are different than the Garrett 5 bolt turbine housings(according to this customer). How much different are they?
Ive had several customers with Precision turbos use this EXACT same turbo location with no reported problems.
I remember an old thread by Art, but I think that was comparing 4 and 5 bolt turbos...
Can anyone help me out here? TIA!

Actually, there are 2 types of 5 bolts turbine patterns. One is the "Ford Style" 5 bolt pattern that Precision, and Turbonetics share. There is one more 5 bolt Pattern that garrett uses that is about 23 mm off center from the Ford style. but this shouldn't matter with the Mini Me setup. The placement should be the same. I'll see if I still have photos of the other 5 bolt style to send back, but it sounds like he just needs to clock the compressor, and / or even the turbine side to allow it to fit..

Well, Im using a Turbonetics(not Garret, my bad) exhaust housing, and have always used one, and have never had any problems with interchangeability between the 5 bolt systems. I know the 4 and 5 bolts are way off, and also of the OTHER 5 bolt(ATP uses them as "drop in" on the GT series, they arent so "drop in"), which is also WAY off. I havent seen a good enough picture of the turbo to determine which housing he has, but I think it would be fair to assume that its the same as every other Precision 5 bolt Exhaust housing.
