Has anyone done a radio upgrade if so to what?
Second have you also upgraded the speakers?

And does the stock radio have any RCA outputs on the back ( amp outputs)?

Ive got an Alpine. It has amber illum which matches the interior percfectly. Other than that it has all the features that i need but like they said Eclipse is the way to go.

The car comes from the factory with 6. I guess we all should be shot!

 

Exactly (especially the NOK ), however the sound quality is superior as well.
I like the Stock look , not these Stupid @$$ NEW Pioneer, Alpine, etc decks that look like a F-in circus in you dash, I'm not playing video games I'm driving.

Granted the stock unit is not as great as say a Nak, Eclipse or Alpine, but hey it already is an alpine isn't it? Or hey they used to be Alpines.

I have great older home equipment and have found that for quality music enjoyment I listen at home. For the road I think that finite sound is second to pure loudness that will overcome the sounds in the car itself.

Anyways, I usually find myself driving with the radio Off, if its on it's when I'm cruising on the highway and usually all the way up.

I've had cars in the past without radios at all, this car I just listen to the sound of the mechanics working and the pleasing sound of the engine making music.

Maybe it's just me? I'm kind of a purist so you can make any elitest comment but my Nakamichi is at home. Too bad NAD, Mirage and PS audio don't make car equipment
