Hi my name is rudy, i used to have a 91 crx. Just as i waa looking to swap my motor for either an Ls or a jdm b16 some ******* rear ended me while i was at a red light. So now like a true pipm i upgraded to a 2001 civic ex. I did this to role with luxury and also be out on the rest of the competition. i am trying to hook up my sohc d17 motor until warranty is up so then i have a reason to swap. I have a short ram intake as well as a header and a hi flow cat and exhaust. umm i am interested in other parts for my car and would like to hear track times of other 2001-2004 civic ex thanks.

 

most of the fun mods that will make your car get in the realm of fast will kick your warrentys ***.

throw them up, just get pics of his mods for the "tech" parts, befores and afters are always good.

 

i dont have any motor pics of his car, hopefully if it stops raining here tonight, ill post them up, its not bad its got a intake, and a header, i have to host them, ill try to get motor pics

Dont mess with the engine period.

D17 Turbos have pulled high 13's....many more people are doing K swaps so doo some research and dont waste money on little engine mods....NOT WORTH IT.

 

yeah, go with a turbo guys are running mid 13s @ 10psi. The best I have seen with bolt ons would be around 15.5 the average is high 15s with bolt ons. Besides Honda can deny fixing your car with the intake on it granted they have to prove that it caused the problem, but they can.

 

he dont check HT often so ill let him know, thats what he wants to do, turbo but his funds are small, he is just trying to get ideas, thanks guys

 

turbos tought, my roommate is turboing his D17, and its cost like $2500 so far, and its still not on, really close though, and He saved alot buying a used kit
