I have a question. Why didn't you just get your Yellow's revalved by Koni?

Omnipower Sports were $575 shipped to my door. (EDIT: From Titan Motorsports, price given by Eric on the phone. )

Revalved konis would have meant down time and new springs, and I'd still have a 5 year old set of rusty Koni's, and I'd still need to buy springs.

EDIT:

Dude selling revalved Koni's for $600. Coilovers are a bargain!

I'm going to spend the next week screening the mail for "Santa's" Discovercard bill!

My wife didn't mind the purchases, she just doesn't like to see lots of numbers added together.

My Discover Card gets around like... umm... you can think of an analogy!

Very nice Chris. Now you have to come back out this way to see how it compares at Mid-Ohio

Those dipsticks should last you about a week right?

a couple quick questions.
1- how much better are the Omnipower coilovers over the koni's? i have konis but i dont know if its worth going with the omni.
2- do you want to sell a dipstick? (you dont need 4 )

A week? If that-- depends on how much I drive.

I have no idea, yet. A couple of my main concerns were straight-line braking stability and time it takes for the car to settle with all weight transitions (entering corners, etc.). I figured coilovers with stiffer springs would be a good place to start.

I'll review them once I get them on the track (How many miles is it from Chicago to VIR? hmmm..)

Ha, I do need 4. I'm planning to try modifying one or two of them to move the rubber stopper part farther down the tube.. maybe this way I won't burn up any more of them so close to my turbo. I'm on my 3rd OEM one this year, and I also burned up a Golden Eagle one in short order.

They're pretty cheap online, http://www.acuraoemparts.com (Delray Acura in FL)

Chris-

You must have been a really good boy. Maybe it was from all those little old ladies you constantly help out, donating your time to the local police departments to help out, and all your once a week phone calls to see how Mom is doing.

*nug nug...Hey, if you happen to bump into Santa again, could you tell him a skinny white kid in Hawaii would like to get his block back soon.

Your coilovers....I have those on my R and they perform wonderfully. You made a good decision and saved yourself a ton of money rather than going with another brand. Good work.

In the meantime, read 8 pages of crap here:

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=874262

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by jdmspoonitr &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Just went to Buttonwillow with these. I really wish I had the camera the first day. I let one of the more aggressive instructors drive my car to give me some feedback. Even though the coilovers WERE NOT cornerweighted yet, and basically I just set them by height, he said the car handled great.

I wasn't going fast enough myself to tell you how great these are, but if you were sitting in that car with me when he took my car around. All I gotta say is OMG

This guy was ******* nuts. He said my limiting factor was my street tires (AVS ES100). Which he said was a good thing since I'm still a beginner, but he said if he was driving it with better tires and if it was cornerweighted the car would have been perfect.

Even on street tires he was reeling in American Iron Mustangs with my car. These are like 350 + HP race cars with experienced drivers. He took the car in HPDE 4 and was chasing a lot of people down with more power. I think he was pissing off some of the other cars cuz he was like right on their ***, I'm talking about inches.

It was really fun to see exactly what these coilovers could do. Now all I have to do is get more seat time so I can use these to their full potential. He was howling my tires the whole way through the track. I'll have pics in a little bit. </TD></TR></TABLE>
