i have heard of this
my tuner's dentist who has a built GSR turbo had that happen to him but his motor was built 4-5 years ago before there was better ways of doing it. His is now using (burning) coolant because of the problem, so he is sleeving another block to use.
what kind of sleeves do you have and what is the story--did this happen to you?

You didn't check the sleeve height when you pulled the head?

Doh! That sucks. I would pull the head again just to be sure. Even if the problem fixes itself you still won't have any peace of mind not really knowing whether or not they sank. How long was it run before the problem occured? Most cases of sleeve sinking I heard of (and I researched A LOT before getting my block sleeved) happened a little while after startup and initial tune.

imma plug the coolant lines off the turbo tomarorw and see whats up . gonna do a few tests
leak down
pull coolant lines to turbo
put car on lift. see if coolant is coming out of the downpipe
if all fails.
pull manifold off and look for residual moisture.

if this was a D series it would make 400whp at idle phil......i bet you its the turbo, im hoping its the turbo , i dont see how the sleeves could be the problem....

If there is anything I can do to help, please do not hesitate to ask!!! I am hear to make sure you are happy with your purchase of our sleeved block.
One thing also to remember, did you ever get your head pressure tested like you said? I haven't heard back from you on some of the questions I asked. Get back to me when you have a chance. Thanks
and I am always here.

which "unsinkable" sleeves do you have? HD or godzilla sleeves? Just wondering, im about to start up my HD sleeved motor soon. Im not really worry about problems because Camp1320 and Golden Eagle will take care of me if there were any cracking/sinking

wow talk about 04 2 years ago hahah . the sleeves never sank. just a lot of air in the system. 2 years my godzilla sleeves never sank. i did blow a headgasket recently but thats from overheating and a broken radiator fan
I've seen it twice... In the last year. Two seperate motors from two seperate builders. We dont have the selection of experienced builders up here. Most companies will ask for the other half when your give them a Honda block.
Since then I've found a shop that is very reputable in Ontario and they took on the challenge of repairing our shops race motor, sleeves didn't sink after that. Just got a slight score when the crank broke. I am definately going to have to do some research with eagle about that.
