V2's are short ram intakes. When I ordered one for my Lude I thought the same thing. It's louder than a CAI thats for sure!

I personally think for the money you would spend on that you'd be better off just making your own and using the remaining money for something more useful.

This has been covered time and again. Search to find all the information you could possibly want.

yea, that is true. i was just pointing out that v2's don't exist for my car. as for intake systems, the air filter should be the most important aspect. the pipe is just a pipe.

For the 5th gen they are. AEM "claims" that it has fitment issues with the tranny but i dont see how cuz it doesnt even run near the tranny. The 6thg en 4bangers ARE CAI.

Also, Im against the cheap brands or making my own. Reason being is, #1. they arent street legal and #2. fitment is crap. If you pay for a name brand you wont run into any of the 2 problems. Only thing is it hurts your wallet. If you run cheap though and run in with the law, that again is gonna hurt your wallet. Its your call.

Well, I have an AEM intake. Although I've had no problems with it, I can't justify spending that kind of money on a tube and a filter when it isn't very hard to do yourself..at all. As far as it being illegal, I ran into a cop in Wyoming who in the midst of searching my car asked what the blue pipe was. After telling him he thought nothing of it and let me go. Of course I think he was more intrested in his search for weapons and/or drugs.

If that cop wanted to be **** and you had a "cheap" intake with no C.A.R.B. # you would've gotten a ticket. The legal issues aren't that big of a problem in most states but id rather be safe than sorry.
