OT, but not really. Please read guys.
I noticed awhile back that there was a sticky posted in the "Vehicles for Sale" forum concerning this. I decided to test the waters with a Type R I had recently purchased, and look at this e-mail I received. I wanted to ensure that anybody thinking of selling the car was aware of this. Thanks.
Anyone else have this happen to them?

I know, Marc. I guess stuff is just "heavier" when it actually happens to you personally. At least it was for me.

I had similar inquiries from Autotrader when I was selling my M3. I just deleted them and moved on, with the thinking that any response by me could be considered approval of some sort of deal. Kinda like when sheisty telemarketers would get you to say say during a conversation, record it, and use it against you if you tried to protest whatever they signed you up for.

Give him your address, get his info, and then contact the FBI. They have a task force working on these scams and the more info you get the better for them.
If nothing else, you can then frame the fake cashiers check and hang it in the garage

Similar kind of bogus/scam email came to me recently. An out of state couple wanted to hire me for a wedding, but was going to send me a check. Once that check was deposited I was to send a check from my account to a coordinator.

Jason, I got a couple of those when I sold my car, way back then. Well-known scam, but people still fall for it.
At least one person in GDD got taken. But I'm too lazy to search for it
