******* calling all header building experts!!!
Looking for some quick thoughts here.
What would the reason for different length in primaries be between different styles/makers of headers be? For example...
Toda, short primary... (I know this may be a b16a header)

SMSP, long primary...

Which would make more midrange/torque on a 12.5:1, 2.0L, b-series with mild-large cams- hypothetically?

How does that answer his question?

Theoretically, long primarys are better for midrange.
In any case, when you order a header from Dave(SMSP) he builds it to your custom specifications.

i have seen results on a 1.9 liter with smsp , hytech , toda and comptech y-pipe at my boy's shop ...and the smsp was the bread winner however , the toda and hytech were very close runners up ...
and the longer the primary's the better the midrange , but from what i understand the closer the 4-2 merge the lower the torque , but don't quote me on that
