wow guys.....ebay and hmotors arent honda.....

i just figured i would say that....and i know people on here have the #, i have seen it before and cant find it....try the search again with "type s piston type A" or something, the type A is the standard bore, the B is .025 over....search for A or B dependent on which you want of course....

incorrect, B is the smallest std size

A is the largest std size, i think its something like .009 (correct me if im wrong) bigger than B std size.

oversize is .025 bigger in size

there are officially 3 different size pistons, std B , std A, and oversize .025

13010-P5P-J00 type-s A bore
13020-P5P-J00 type-s B bore
13030-P5P-J00 type-s OS 0.25

i have a set of A bores that go right down the bores on BOTH my B bore blocks. but i dont thnk that matters since piston to wall clearance is too tight!

i think if you call your local honda dealer and talk to someone in parts and feed em that part number, they can probably get them for you.

That's not true at all...

There are two ways:

1) On the block is a stamp, that indicates the pistons installed at the factory:

"AAAA" "ABAA" "BBBB" etc.

2) On each piston that is not an A piston, there is a mark in the center of the piston. If you take out the spark plugs, and look into the hole with a bright light... you can see if you have B pistons.

I had thought the A pistons were the standard pistons and B pistons were in case of casting / machining issues.

It's good to know that the block I have can be lightly honed and have an A piston put in #4 / #1... or hone-honed and have an OS piston installed.

Neato.

I am pretty sure the helm manual says the A bore is slightly larger than a B bore.
