Here is my situation, I am currently building a B18c1 bottom with JE 12.5 : 1 comp. internals and Type R head w/ skunk 2 stage 2 cams and flat dished Rev valves. Now a freind of mine recommended to me that I should run a MSD 7AL ignition system to comprehend with the high compression. I presently have a MSD SCI-L and id really hate to buy a whole new ignition system. Now, my question is...Would the MSD SCI-L be enough for my setup or would I have to upgrade to a MSD 7AL? What are type of ignition are you folks running, and for what setup?

 

A stock ignition system for that setup is fine.

Just run a new cap/rotor & ngk7s :-)
