can you run an external coil with out the new ignition or is it needed

What type of setup are you going with?? It is pretty common for high HP cars to run the stock ignition system. It is a very reliable and powerfull system for stock.

i was goin to go with the msd blaster 3 coil and msd extreme cap and rotor
