Even if i'm in california, where it's currently 50 something degrees, my offseason started a while ago since my car's been out of top running shape for a while. So while i'm not freezing in my garage, i'm sure someone out there is.
On the slate:
Replace all 4 upper control arms with newer used OE units (crunchy balljoints galore)
Fluid flushes of all kinds
Valve adj
Figure out why my code 9 won't go away
Fix my leaking brake fitting
The last 2 are getting on my nerves, since CEL's always suck, and so does brake fluid leaking all over. It's a fairly slow leak, but it's there, and in related news, the flare end fitting from the pipe is stripped to all hell, in spite of the 10mm flare wrench, and thanks to the wonderful fitment of russell SS lines. I suppose a trip to a plumbing supply store (if i ever find one that isn't a tiny mom and pops operation) should yield a fitting with the same thread, pitch, and length as the OE honda fitting, but i'm a little nervous about double flaring the pipe myself with my (un)trusty HF flaring kit. My other alternative is to buy a whole new brake pipe, and replace the one i've got in there.
The CEL is especially curious, since i've recently changed the distributor to fix the problem, which is a CYP sensor code. Didn't change anything. Metered the contacts on the dist. wiring, and it checks out. I suppose the only thing left in the chain is the ECU. Got a spare P5M in the mail, and hopefully it remedies the situation since i hate staring at that yellow light.
anyone have any tips to make life a little easier? as much as i love hanging out in my garage, it's also the smallest garage on earth, and tends to drive me nuts when i spend TOO much time in it.
bah, it's the offseason. and i'm missing out on redline's fundays and the upcoming speedventures trackday @ calispeedway, day before the JGTC race. not like i could afford it anyway, being the holidays...

Fix sheet-metal damage
- Both front fenders off the car, nose hanging loose.
- When 2nd fender arrives, parts go to the paint shop.
Remove stock spring perches from shock to lower ride height
- One shock off for test removal of coilover then stock spring perch
Remove diff so someone else can install LSD
Install Wink Mirror
Re corner-balance
Issac H&N Restraint
Good thing I have a cannon propane heater.
What I'm short on is weekends between now and Feb 11th (when I leave for VIR-Full with THSCC). *sigh*

Integra:
Find a buyer
Install axle that has been sitting next to it for months now
Front wheel bearings
Brake calipers, all four of them
Fuel sample port
Current harness
De-Honda Challenge the car and make it IT legal
Add about 100lb of lead
CRX:
Motor mounts (done one out of 4)
trailing arm bushings
front shocks...again
Excursion:
Needs nothing.
I'm noticing a pattern here. The old, cheap cars need lots of work and money to stay working. The new, expensive Excursion...needs nothing. And the Excursion makes me happiest of the three vehicles in the fleet.

haha, i don't technically freeze until it's around 37F, which still isn't that cold to alot of you, but if it's 37 in LA 90% of the city has a heartattack.
it's sweater weather for me in the winters, but i know some of you guys are freezing, and my heart goes out to you.
oh, and add a new driver's side axle to the list since my inboard CV boot has torn, again.

We just finished the 25 hour with http://www.pdqmotorsports.net so I am sure that every nut and bolt needs to be replaced.

boo-hoo!
Let me shed a tear.
I need to do this:
- finish fuel sytem (install new filter, FPR, new lines)
- finish cooling system (radiator, coolant hoses)
- install wiring harness in engine bay
- modify said harness to work on an SI engine
- get a battery
- install intake
- install header (includes dropping front crossmember)
- fabricate exhaust
- install/wire gauges, including tach
- install/plumb fire system
- fabricate seat mount
- install harnesses
- install mirror
- wire kill switch
- replace window net
- install Isaac on helmet
- get car aligned/corner weighed
- start and break in new engine
- dyno tune
all that by Feb 10 to make it to Roebling Road for the SCCA double... How many weekends are left again? At least the list is a lot shorter than it was a month ago!
Sebastien, freezing (not really) in the garage every night after the kids are in bed...

No kidding. I have worked in my garage when it was below zero before. You would be amazed how difficult simple tasks are when you can't feel your fingers.
Before I do any work this winter, I am going to invest in some kind of space heater for the garage.

30's in SoCal?
That sucks, East Tennessee is having a warm spell, 50's -60's. Today I wore shorts and a short sleeve shirt to school.
I miss Michigan.
