whats the best stuff to use to stick carpet to my speaker box?
I bought some 3-m spray adhesive and was wondering if this was good enough? Also, does anyone have any good tips on getting the carpet on good and tight? Where should the seams be?
Thanks
Thanks
I use 3m trim adhesive. If it makes it stick, it's good enough. The seams should be along seven edges of the box (three outer edges both sides and one cross edge). Some people put the edge on the middle of a plane with the outer edges doing the same to the outer planes of the box. It's up to you.
To get it on nice and tight you have to stretch the carpet while putting it on. Also helps to use a heat gun while you're at it. If you're paranoid you can screw the carpet down too along the corners.
