What are your goals with the car? I have no experience with the Spoon unit, but if it's anything like all of the other Spoon products...
I'll gladly recommend some other form of engine management if you tell us your goals.

THe problem with the Spoon controller is that it doesn't allow you to adjust the fuel along with the change in crossover. It supposed to be used with a Spoon programed ECU, but a VAFC would be cheaper, and offer more tunability. Hondata would be a step beyond that.

first off it's "do they run well"
and the spoon vtec controller is just that a vtec controller it does nothing else. You shouldn't need to change the x-over point unless you have a dyno and a well modified engine. Otherwise it is a waste of money.

the spoon vtec controler does run good but it runs even better with a spoon built motor with spoon ecu. without any of that youre better off with a vafc2

The Spoon controller on its own is pretty useless. Spoon only runs it as it is the only mod. not handled by the Spoon ECU. If ur ECU is stock it aint worth ****... even if it does fit nicely into your dash.
