Im not sure whats going on (yet). But once in awhile at 6500 the CEL will go on until after I shut off the car....when starting again (literally right after shutting it off) it disappears? This has happend a couple of times already. Anyone have something like this happen? Im probably just going to bring it back to the shop who built my motor. Any input?

 

and... what is the code?

 

Probably something vtec related.
when you cycle the power it will reset the limp mode until the ECU detects the
problem again.

 

I cant get a code because when I shut off the engine CEL disappers when started right back up again. Im thinking? vtec related since it is not engaging? Hmm. Thanks for the reply though any advice on confirming that it is vtec related?

 

For some reason I thought you got a limp mode.

When the code comes up check it before shutting off the car.
Then get back to me.
