Default need help with vss.

hey guys i just did a swap about one month ago and my speedomator was working just fine, today when i went to work i noticed that it was not working. Im throwing code 17 so i know that its the vss. I looked at it and unpluged it, then pluged it back in. What would be the reason that it just stops working???
BTW i cant hit vtec anymore is this the reason?

Yes, the connection could be going bad, could have rattled loose, or your VSS could be dying.

After you remove the connector and replug it, try to see if that fixes it. If not, I'd start looking for another VSS. Generally when they die, they go out intermittently.

If you tried to reset the system and it didn't fix the problem, why haven't you just tried replacing it and going from there? Sensor may just be bad.
