Hey, I have a 90 Civic with a Wings west kit. I always hated the chicken wire that comes with the kit. I figured it wouldnt look as bad if it was black instead of silver. Has anyone ever painted the mesh without it chipping? What type of paint did you use? Thanks

 

i would say just use gloss black spraypaint. maybe use rusto or something a little thicker. even the black appliance epoxy or something like that. damn writing graf makes you know way to much about spraypaint

 

paint will chip. u need to get it anyodyzed.(sp?)

 

thats so much hassle just some some 99cent mesh. **** it just paint it black and when it chips off repaint it. or just leave i silver

 

The shop that painted my car painted mine black with the same paint they used for the car.




No chips after 2 years and if it did chip, I'd just grab a rattlecan and touch it up.

 

Just go buy some Semi Flat black paint and start sprayin, if you know how to use a rattle can properly.

 

Thanks for the feedback. I dont drive it in the winter so rock chips shouldnt be a problem, just not to sure how well it will hold to the metal, thanks!

 

i reconend replacing it with a nice big intercooler.
