Default painting interior

im painting my dash, middle console in such white, but i want that shinny look to it. someone told me to primer it before spray painting then, like spraying like some sort of an clear cost over it. Also i was thinkin about buying that special interior paint that you see, but whats the difference between that and regular paint. If i get that will it give me that shine that im going for?

don't do it. you'll turn your interior into crap. every painted interior i've seen turns into crap. you might be able to get it to look shinny by putting on a clearcoat after you paint it, but it won't look good for long. that stuff always flakes off, and turns to crap. just a warning.

if you really must paint your interior make sure you also use the same brand paint so they won't counter-act with each other. and I also believe that there is a time in which u must apply the clear coat so no spider web cracking is involved

personally you should paint the interior multiple colors...
use a clear coat on top...
to top it off , find some honda emblems and glue to them to your dashboard...
straight pimp, the bitches will love it...

my interior alreadys painted white, and it looks good. cuz it goes with the rest of the car.the exterior of the car is white, and inside ive painted the dash, gauges, middle console and some other little parts white, and the seats are getting customly done white and blue. i just want to redo it,and make it look better.

i wouldn't do it dood, i am embarrassed to say i used that interior crap and it is ghetto ***. super dull, can't clean it, looks like crap, and chips easily.
i did mine again but with real Honda 538 Frost white...but I am trying to get rid of it and get an all black dash doors etc.
let me know if you want this stuff! I won't have a need for it when i get the new interior.

This thread is straight 1999 or older style

Seriously though...I don't wanna make assumptions, but your info says your 18 and when you get a little older I garuntee you'll think what you did was tacky and you'll regret it. You won't wanna be driving around with some homemade colored interior once the people you're around get outta the highschool mentality etc. Just a little advice, but if you wanna do it that's your own call obviously.
