Default camshaft question....

what is the best camshaft for my LS motor? I have port/polished head, dual valve springs, titanium retainers, headers. I'm planning on adding intake manifold, throttle body, ecu up-grade, fuel pump/regulator too. After all this is done, what kind of cams are the best? I was thinking of running Crower 404 but I heard they have trouble starting.... I want it to be good performance but less trouble. anyone have any idea? let me know. thanks in advance.

crower 404's hands down. just raise ur idle speed to about 800-900 rpms and u shouldnt have a problem with the idle. then get it tuned!

depends on what your overall goals are, are you using this car for a daily driver for long distances or short, are you going to use it for the track? there are so many variables. with all ur engine work 404's would be a nice cam. 403's are good but mainly for a very daily driven car. 404's are very aggressive but can work if you tune it correctly.

cool, thanks for the info. I'm going to use it for both daily driver and as well as track use. I won't do any long distance driving since there is not much long drive in Hawaii. I guess I'll try the 404's since these cams are the most recommended by a lot of experienced people I have asked.

Anyone else have other suggestions?
