installation rpm gauge civic cx 97
I was wondering if It could be possible to install a rpm gauge on the dashboard ,like a stock civic, or i'd have to put it on a mount. Damn how come it's an option on imported cars.

You can swap out the gauge cluster with one from any 96-00 civic that had a tach, and it will plug and play perfectly with no addtional wiring.

LX, EX, Si are models that all have tachs...I would stick with the EX or LX so that you can swap the odometer/speedometer piece so that you have the correct mileage of your car. Or you can get the Si model and wait until the mileage is the same, that is what I did because I didn't want to do anything shady.
Also, there are the JDM clusters, from Civic SiR's, and Type R's, but those read in kph, but would work none the less. Also, if you can afford them, spoon and mugen both make an after market cluster, but they're expensive.
The 96-00 CRV cluster will also plug and play.

I just put one in my 99 dx. I couldn't afford an Si cluster so i got the CRV one. It glows orange and looks so much better than the stock civic one.
