Default How to Install Sleeves

I live in Germany, and want to order a set of Darton Sleeves for my B16 I am building for my CRX here. I am an American and know a very good shop that re-builds military vehicles and all sorts of other engines etc. I am friends with a couple of the master mechanics and they are willing to do the machine work on my block but need to know the procedures and specs. Can anyone help me with this. I dont want to spend all the money to send the block to the states etc. I am sure they can do the job the correct way being that Germans have to go to school for all of their professions and these guys are engineers.

I would imagine, you should contact the manufacturer of the sleeves and they could tell you everything you need to know.

Darton has a manual that they will send you on how to install the sleeves.. If your friends arent setup to do this then it will never work..

The Darton MID Honda installation manual can be downloaded from their website, also. Includes illustrations and blueprints.

Basically, your shop needs CNC equipment to locate cylinder bore centers. Cannont be done on standard cylinder boring equipment, properly.

Hope this helps,
Jim
