I have the saggy seatbelt problem on my eg. (they wont retract) Has anyone taken their cars in to have their belts replaced? I understand they are under a lifetime warranty (replaced for free)... would the saggy belts apply for replacement? has anyone done this in the NYC tristate area. I just feel like they're gonna give me the shaft if i do this in NYC. they're ruthless I'm looking for the best dealer to go to so they dont give me the run around. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If not how could i fix this?? Im sure this is pretty common. umungst civs.

 

I've heard this same rumor, but I have never attempted it personally. I do know of people who have gone to Honda and gotten it done for free, but it's always been like a friend of a friend, whose cousin's, aunt's friend's brother had it done for them.

 

I actually have the same problem on my drivers side. If anyone has done this let me know, Id like to get that fixed.

 

why dont you call up a bunch of diffrent dealers and find out?

 

Yes there is a seatbelt warrenty.
I used to work at a honda dealership and have done quite a few of these.

I've never personally done one that was just sagging, though.
Mostly just belts that would not retract at all, torn belts, and broken buckles.

Your best bet is to take it to the dealership and have them look at it.

 

My owners manual states that there is a lifetime warrantee on the seatbelts, as long as they weren't damaged due to an accident. I have both front seatbelts out of my 92 VX. If you run into problems getting them replaced I'll sell them to you. Larry

 

Honda has a lifetime warranty on seatbelts, i just got mine replaced for free

 

last year we brought our 91 CRX in and they replaced the seat belt under warranty, and this was a true stealership. you should have no problem at any dealer.

 

Mine hardly retracts at all...I have to force it sometimes.
We're positive that its under warranty?

 

Thanx for the replies people. I guess i just have to give it a shot. The belts seem to work fine just that they get caught in the door sometimes and its really annoying cus theyre in the way for people to get into that back. I guess ill call em up. i'll let everyone know what happens.
