Default Any tricks to getting Coilovers OFF of shocks?

I want to get my coilovers off my shocks so I can remove the stock sprint perches (allowing the threaded part to sit lower on the shock) to allow for a little more ride height adjustment.

We've hit it with PB Blast between the shock, the threaded part of the coilover, and the stock perch and thought a sufficiently long piece of PVC pipe of the proper diameter over the shaft of the shock and a hammer would work, but I thought I'd see if you guys had any better ideas.

Thanks in advance!

Diane

Turn it (around the shock body) to break it loose, rather than tryign to pound it off.... just like water hoses
