Help me with cel codes.
I have a 90 civic dx 1.5 and cel comes on after driving on highway for about 5-10 min. The car is all stock. Im getting codes 1 and 20. However i understand 1-9 is represented by short blinks and 10 is a long blink. Then add shorts to long(s) for 10-up. Im getting 1 short, long pause then 20 short blinks in a row (over and over). I replaced the o2 yesterday and reset ecu by pulling the hazard fuse. Cel came on this morning, same codes.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hehe, im so new to honda's its not funny. Ive had the car for 4 days. Umm, I didnt know i had to jump anything. I did a search and what I found just said to turn key to on and watch the led. If you could tell me the correct way to do it that would be cool.
Well, i jumped the blue conn. and turned key to on. LED on computer still flashes 1 short then 20 short. Even not jumpered and car running led still flashes the same. The cel will come on while on the highway and stay on till engine turned off. Then when restarted no cel.
So jumpered or not still getting the same fleshes. In the above link it says the cel will flash. Any thoughts?

you dont jump anything on a odb0 honda. when the ecu throws a code it shows on the LED no matter what you do.
it also doesnt store codes. this is an old ecu. pre OBD1 keep that in mind. the one short short flash your seeing is the ECU's self test flash, i believe.
tell me this, after the 20 flashes, does it repeat with one short, then 20 short, or does it keep doing hte 20 over and over. its most likley the 20 over and over. which means code 20. if your stilll getting hte single flash that means code 21. its important because they both means different thigns.
to see what codes 20 and 21 are, (once you figure out which one it is) look here:

as stated you do not need to jump an obd0 car. 1 is o2 sensor and 20 is electrical load. has a swap or anything been done on the car? has the car's performance changed any?
The flashes go like this, quick flash -> short -> 20 shorts then repeats short ->20 shorts. The car is 100% stock and there is no change in performance when cel comes on.
disconnect your negative cable for ten seconds. that should reset your ecu. turn the car on and see if the code persists. if so then you have some sort of eletrical problem.

wow good call. my next suggestion was to try a different under the hood fusebox, but its rare to have a bad ELD...
