axle wtf?????
i just did my clutch yesterday, but i cant get the pass side axle back in for the life of me. me n 2 friends tried at it for over an hour and eventualy gave up. now ive done like 5 motor swaps before, so i know what im doing as do the other 2 guys, but we were stumped. the axle was put back in the tranny first and i cant get it to push through the hub. should i take it out of the tranny and try the huib first? thats about the only thing i didnt try yet. never had a problem putting an axle back in before
I had that problem the last time I replaced my axle, I was stumped as well. I tried a little grease and eventually got it in far enough so I could get the axle nut on it and get it in the rest of the way. It was a brand new axle so I am guessing that is why it didn't feel like going in, but I'm really not sure. They have always went in fairly easy for me.

So I need to lick the hub's nipple and play with it's **** before I stick the axle in?

he said the axle is in the tranny fine. the hub just won't slide over the axle. there is probably just a build up of corrosion and grime on the splines. cleaning the splines with a penetrating fluid like PB Blaster and then apply a light coat of grease should def. take care of that...

how did it pull apart? easily? do you have a little brass wire brush? spray on your penetrating fluid and use the little brass wire brush to clean out the splines.
you didn't drop the axle and bur the end of it did you?

sometimes rust gets inside of the hub and causes the axle to get stuck or causes the axle to go in very diffficult.
Rub some anti-seeze on the spline and make sure the spline are lined up with the axle and the hub and hopefully that will work
good luck
