Default b16 drop springs, which ones to go with?

i got tired of the uncomfortable ride from cilovers. i put some red i dont know the brand springs i had laying around and it is really comfortable, but it looks like a 4x4 truck. i can fit three fingers on every fender, vertical ways that is. i want more or less an inch between each fender-to-tire gap. that is how i had it with my coilovers and i had no trouble not hitting things. i have 16 with 205 40 r16 tires please help me out, i also do not want to bottom out because my header will be gone. thanks

why dont you get some adjustables? that way you can have the height and feel you want?

I suggest Progress Auto dropped springs...they are meant for the B16 swap in the EF Chassis. Awesome ride and just the right height..... Before I bought these springs, I had the stock D15 springs and I cut them to lower car. When I swapped the B16 in, the front settled down a little more. I got sick of the slammed look and junky ride and handling, so I got the lowering springs meant for the B16 swap.

Im guessing you had some sleeve overs on stock shocks or somthing, and thats why you had a crappy ride.

A properly built and valved coilover that is set up properly will Generally give you a better ride than slapping on a set of lowering springs on your car. Keep in mind I said "properly" set up and valved. Look for somthing with at least rebound adjustment to give you the feel your looking for.

I also used the Progress springs for an EF, great ride and not too slammed!

before I bought them, I wasnt sure which ones I wanted, but I knew they had to be for the heavier B series motor. I took a chance and I like them...

I got mine off of ebay, you can check there or ask a local shop to see if they can order them for you.

Aother brand worth considering is Suspension Techniqes. I have had some in my crx for 6 years now with a set of Tokico HP struts, running a b series and it rides as good as a brand new car with no bottoming out problems at all.

I rocked the neuspeed dragt spring on my hatch and they were nice you could get a finger unerthe back tire and wheel well maybe 2 and the front sat just on the top of the tire like maybe a quarter inch of space but never any rub with a ls motor......the crx has h&r cant really tell you the ride quality cause it hasnt been driven yet but the car looks good not slammed only about a 1.5 but the thing feels real stiff.....the neuspeed were not that good for daily drivin but did help the car from squating under acceleration
