gotta headlight question..???

Default gotta headlight question..???

okay..i gotta 97 accord...and my low beams are 9006 and m highs 9005 right?
its kinda a stupid question but i dont know much about lighting...could i purchase 9006s and place em in the high beam socket so i could have them all on...or is the socket fitted to take only 9006?????

Yes, 9006 are low and 9007 are high beams.

I don't know that you could switch it like that. I guess you can try.

uh those accords dont use 9007s they use 9005 and 9006

the high beams are aimed in a different position, and the 9006 bulbs have a covered tip on them. the 9005 dont have any cover. you could do it but you'd have to aim your highbeam section down a lot

You cant just swap 9005 & 9006 w/o some very minor modification, but its super easy. It did work for me on my Integra (which was just stolen) and it was an improvement. I had no need to adjust the beams either. The catch was they did not last very long. About 7 months. Only one of the bulbs blew so perhaps I just had some bad luck.

Also check out the 9005 conversion...but aiming your headlights helps out a bit .
