Resetting cel? 98 4dr
is there a way to reset the check engine on a 98 4dr lx without going to the dealer? a friend told me the ecu fuse #13, but i didn't see a #13 or something labeled ecu even on the fuse box cover
You know the button you push to reset your trip miles? Okay, stick your key in the ignition but DO NOT turn it. Now hold down this button for about 10 seconds before turning the key. After turning the key all the way to the last ACC position keep on holding for a little while. The light should blink and stuff. Then go ahead and start the car. Light should be gone.
Oh crap, you're right. My bad. Hey, it should say backup or ECU fuse under the panel. Unhook your battery and unplug that for about 15 minutes. Then go back and put it back in and hook your battery back up.
Open the right-side door, there's a fusebox in the end of the dash, near the door hinges. Pull #13 in there for a half-minute. Wait, didn't I just write this same thing a little while ago???
