theymake the little plastic on the inside of the side mirrors to hold tweeters right.
most old hatches or coupes i see have the tweetr in the door panel or something. i just wanted to know for sure if they make that plastic piece triangle tohold a tweeter, cause thats alot cleaner.

 

jdm ek models have them and so do the limited eg6 sir-s.

 

To make your search easier, those pieces are called sail panels.

 

i had the acoustic research sound package on my 93 ex coupe.... it had the tweeter pods in that triangle area on the doors. keep an eye out on ebay, or possibly even local junkyards... hopefully you can find a set!

I got power door panels off of a 95 Ex and they had them on there. Never hooked up the tweeters though, but they were there.....

 

Are these things flat like on a regular door panel, or is the tweeter mount raised off the sail panel? I cant imagine fitting a very large tweeter in there w/ power mirror wiring if the sail panel is just flat.

No the OEM ones on the Door panels, they are RIGHT ON THE DOOR.

what in the world is that?! i'm a fan of utility.... i dunno about that glove box

 

i did a simple surface mount with my tweeter on my "sail panels". i have tyc mirrors on my car do i don't have the little remote joystick sticking out. the tweeters cover up the holes and look pretty decent.

 

damn that would be a poopload of gauges.
