Rsx-S or Integra-R
Ok now..its time to get a new car for me..i currently own an 96 ls. Im deciding wether to get a used 2002-2004 rsx type s or an integra type r. now..i've never been in a type r, so i dont know how well it handles, or how fast it is compare to a type s. type s is defintely nice, good handling, nice interior, beautiful as well. both cars will cost around the same price..15-19k. if anyone has been in both cars, please tell me what you think. thx
Do you have a garage for the R? It'd be a shame for another to go to waste. I've been in both and overall I'd definately go with the R.
well best of luck with your decision. If you dont have a garage, get the S please....

I think I will say this before you get the **** flamed out of you. I would search the hell out of this website and absorb all the information you can. After this, Google is going to be your next best tool. You are now a sponge.
This question is asked about once a week. People asking the comparison between the RSX and the R. There are so many differences that it's not even funny. Unfortunately, I cannot answer this for you and if I did have the information, I don't honestly think I'd have the patience to list all the comparisons. They are two completely different cars. Best thing you can do is get all the information you can and draw your own conclusions.

i did search, i've read alot of other peoples comments about those 2 cars. now..i've never got to ride an r, thats why im asking people who have been in BOTH cars and how they thought of it.
i personally think that many people overated the type r. i know its a great car and all, but many people make a big deal about it. if i was to post this on clubrsx, im sure many people would say rsx on that forum. thats why im asking for people who have been in it instead of people saying **** when they havent been in both cars, and all they say is " get a type r because its faster..and better." or "type r ofcourse..rsx sucks".

Wow, talk about pretending you're part of some secret society by owning a car. Pretty pathetic considering it's an Integra Type R.
I say go for the Type S. Looks a lot better (in my humble opinion), and you won't constantly fear it being stolen.

This response is typical of someone who might think his **** doesn't stink. Also typical of some hype r owners.

Not really. At first impression, regulars in this forum may seem like elitist jerks, but the truth is quite the contrary. After all, it's just a 25K Honda that handles better than any mass-produced FF car sold in the States. Damn I'm poetic when I get a pint in my hand!
No, but I've driven one. My response was targeted at your response to the original post. I felt that your comment was not constructive in any way and it "bugged" me. If you simply stated that he needed to DRIVE one to get the full "ITR" experience then I would have agreed. But instead, you made an *** out of yourself by posting your response to his question.
<--------------- Avatar = answer.. assuming you have a garage.
Or a jack hammer to put some big holes in your driveway, cover em with rebar cemented into the ground, and a big chain to wrap around your axle and the rebar with a nice big lock

Well i own an ITR and my good buddy owns an RSX S and from first hand experience my ITR outhandles it by a good margin. In a straight line it also has a slight edge. Now my ITR is modded with I/H/E and drag radials so its hard to compare now, but it was stock for the first 2 years i owned it so i still remember what it was like. Like others have said they are 2 different cars. The ITR is more inclined for racing and has little luxurys, the RSX S leans more towards the luxury side and therefore makes a performance sacrifice in all categories.
Depending where you live depends if owning an ITR will be a big risk, the RSX is more subtle and has less risk of being abducted.

What does asking me if I own an Integra Type R have to do with anything? I'm merely replying to that person's comment in which he tries to come off as some sort of elitist because he drives a certain type of car.
i think you cant just drive an R once and have a full grasp of how awesome they actually are. i Went from a pretty modded wrx that i completely love to a type r. on the initial drive its nothing super spectacular. but after a while it just grows on you and now i wouldnt ever trade my r for my old wrx.

Grab an R, if you don't like it sell it and move on. You might even make a few bucks in the process.
OT: Or buy an RSX-S because on clubRSX some guy with bolt-ons just took out an SL55. LOL
