question about the steering wheel...

Default question about the steering wheel...

i took off the steering wheel and now i dont know where this part goes...can anyone help me?

Looks real familiar, I haven't removed my steering wheel in a few years, but you removed the turn signals as well correct, it looks like one of the pieces that would be found with the white part of the turn signals under everything.

that's what i was thinking too...but then the hole on this particular black piece doesnt fit on the the metal rod that has the splines for the steering wheel...it doesnt slip onto that rod at all...so where can it go?...also if anyone has a pic or can help me out...i'd greatly appreciate it...thanks.

well does everything still work? find out what doesnt work and go from there.
